2010 Convention/Alpha Mu Theta

Hello all and glad to be back. The four of us and Gaina are back from Florida convention. Day 1 was Regional meeting. This is were our Division (Division 1) gathered and was given the opportunity to meet and greet with our division. Day 2 was many workshops and more meet and greet. Day 3 more workshops and the big event. We received the the Leadership Hallmark Award which we as a chapter worked very hard for. There were only 25 awards in this category given on the international level. It is now sitting on Gaina’s desk if you would like to drop by to take a look. The Distinguished member award was given to Michael Dodin, only 30 of these were given on the international level. Last but not least, Leslie Bolich, took away the Most Distinguished President Award, only 30 in this category as well.

While I was in one of the workshops I was given information on a few things changing in the awards at international level. I was also given many great tips on how they judge essays for the hallmarks. We already have plans on how we are going to Seattle, Washington to win some more. Look for the pictures and video coming soon to our site.

We also had the opportunity to find out about Alumni. If you need any of that information please ask at the meeting.

Take Care,

Deeemoticon

We raised $140 to go towards the American Red Cross: half to Haiti and half to Chile for the earthquake relief funds. This money raised is in addition to the $500 we donated from our own Alpha Mu Theta budget. Thanks to all who helped make this beautiful Mural For Hope a success! Enjoy the pics.

PA Ementoring

Romy Banks did a wonderful job getting us ready to be eMentors during the group training session. I am really looking forward to this program in helping these teens get ready for college, careers, and the "real" world.

If you were unable to make the group training session, no worries! You can sign up for individual on-line training. I also have extra packets for anyone who may be interested. Please respond to this blog or contact me directly if you would like to be involved.

Thanks,

Leslie
